While booking your skydiving experience, you will be required to choose a convenient time slot. Make sure to arrive at the center in Belmont at least 15 minutes in advance. You will be requested to first fill out certain standard insurance and waiver paperwork. You will then be ushered to a quick health and BMI check-up to ensure you are fit for the jump.
Once you complete the formalities and health check-ups, you will be introduced to your skydiving instructor. Your instructor will take you through an important briefing where you will learn about what to expect during your airplane jump and the best practices and techniques to make your time more enjoyable. This session should last approximately 30 minutes and you can utilize this time to clarify any questions you may have about the jump. Feel free to discuss with your instructor if you are facing any discomfort of any sort.
Once the training is over, you will be provided with the appropriate gear - a jumpsuit, helmet and goggles. You will then be strapped onto a harness along with your instructor and both of you will hop aboard the small plane.
After about 20 minutes of a picturesque climb into the atmosphere, you will get a signal from your instructor to jump. Hold on tight and thrust yourself off the airplane into the ground far below. The first 60 seconds will be a freefall which will be the most exhilarating time of your life. If you’ve opted for some media from the organization, make sure to smile pretty! Once the parachute is deployed, you will be allowed to steer the canopy. For the next 5-7 minutes, take in everything the Newcastle skyline has to offer as you glide on to the landing strip.
The skydiving center is open all seven days a week from 8 AM - 8 PM. Please note that dives will only be permitted in favorable weather conditions.
Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your assigned time slot to ensure that all the activities run smoothly and on time.
